From last week, I worked on wrapping up the forest level (the first part of level one). It was, however, a tough decision as to choose which asset would match the asset I initially came up with. There was a shine on the terrain, so I added a dirt texture layer to get rid of the light, replacing the old texture I used. Having come up with a better tree asset, I got rid of the old tree asset, and used the new one for the forest. Likewise, I then scaled the trees to player height, the same height as the houses. Even though I'm working through the forest, the first part of level one, I am getting help from Bronson and Navinder with the assets (the buildings and trees). The grassy terrain had a light shine, which was caused from the directional light. Since the level requires light, Victor helped me come up with new textures to paint over the previous texture I used. He painted a dirt texture over the old one, and then I added a grass layer to spread over the dirt layer. I then arranged the buildings according to how my group and I decided for their alignment. I then added trees all over the place, giving the level its forest approach. Oddly, when zoomed out, the layer of grass isn't visible, forcing me to zoom in to properly see the grass added.
